What LiftRadar measures, where the numbers come from, and how we make money. If something here is unclear, tell us. That is usually a sign the page is wrong, not the reader.
The rankings
How does LiftRadar decide what is best value?
We divide the price you would actually pay by how much of the active ingredient you actually get, and rank on that. A bigger tub is not automatically better value, and neither is a lower sticker price.
- Protein Powdercost per g protein
- Creatinecost per g creatine
- Pre-Workoutcost per serving
- Energy Drinkscost per fl oz
- Nutrition Barscost per g protein
Can a brand pay to rank higher?
No. The ranking is arithmetic on price and ingredient amount, and there is no field in it for who pays us. We do earn commission on some outbound links, and that is disclosed on every page, but it cannot move a product up or down a board, because the ranking never reads it.
Why is a product missing, or showing no ranking?
A product only ranks when we can prove the arithmetic: a confirmed price, and a confirmed amount of the active ingredient for that exact size and pack. If we cannot read the nutrition panel, or the price is unconfirmed, the product stays off the board rather than appearing with a number we would have had to guess at.
Prices & freshness
How often are prices checked?
Throughout the day, continuously rather than on a fixed clock. How often a given retailer is checked depends on demand and on what that retailer will tolerate. Every offer shows when it was last confirmed, and anything we have not re-confirmed for 48 hours drops out of the rankings until we see it again.
The price here does not match the retailer. Why?
Prices change faster than any checker can follow, and regional pricing, promotions and subscription discounts all move them. Always confirm at the retailer’s checkout: the price there is the real one. If you see a persistent mismatch, tell us and we will re-check the source.
What counts as a “deal”?
A drop of at least 5.0% below that product’s own recorded average for that exact size, pack and variant, never against a retailer’s “was” sticker. We need at least 7 days of our own recorded prices before we will call anything a drop, which is why a newly added product does not appear on the deals board straight away.
When nothing qualifies, the board is empty. It does not get topped up with products that have not moved.
Alerts & account
How do price-drop alerts work?
Watch a product and pick your trigger: any drop, a percentage, or a target price. We email you when it happens. You can pause every alert at once from your account, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
Does LiftRadar cost anything?
No. The site and the alerts are free. We earn a commission on some outbound links, at no extra cost to you. That is the whole business model, and it is written out in full on the affiliate disclosure.
What do you do with my data?
We count outbound clicks and record sign-in activity, and we keep ordinary server logs. We do not sell personal data. You can export or delete your account from your account settings at any time; the Privacy Policy is the full version.
